UP Quill is a a duly-recognized organization based in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Since our establishment in 1994, we have been promoting the knowledge and appreciation of literature and creativity throughout the UP Diliman community and beyond.

Through our numerous activities such as the staging of regular poetry readings, the publication of our literary folio, and projects such as the Ikot Poetry program, we have earned our reputation as the most active literary student organization on campus. Workshops for budding young writers and performers have become a regular Quill activity, alongside our more philanthropic projects, such as reading classes at the Old Balara Grade School (since 1994) and fund-raisers/book donation drives.

Membership. While the love of literature forms the core of U.P. Quill, membership in UP Quill is not restricted to CAL students. Those from other colleges can also apply during the application period (usually at the beginning of every semester).

Notable alumni of UP Quill include writers Allan Popa, Luis Katigbak,and Mayo Uno Aurelio Martin. Other alumni likewise have immersed themselves in media, advertising and theater.
